“Made New Like the Sunrise”

In this “Space for God: Beauty” devotional, Kristy Wallace Grant (Coracle Ministry Center Coordinator) guides us into a time to wrestle with the tension between our perception of the world and God’s reality. Starting with the bleakness of Ecclesiastes 1, Kristy encourages us to consider the newness God creates in every sunrise and in us every day.  While beholding pictures of magnificent sunrises, she invites us to ask God these questions:

  • How is my sunrise different today?
  • Remind me of an event after which my sunrise looked different.
  • How have you made me new so that my sunrise looks different?
  • How should I hold this tension of Ecclesiastes 1 in my heart knowing that you make things new every day?
