He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8 NKJV
Live Justly, Love, Mercy, Walk Humbly…
These are three instructions we have received from our Lord about how to live, but what do they mean? How can we identify our need to live this out, and what does it look like to do so? Over the next few months, we will discuss what each of these means and how we can respond.
In this Soundings Seminar, Dr. Scott Buresh (Coracle Community Minister) talks with Rev. George Hopkins (BUILD) about what justice, mercy, and humility look like up close and on the ground in our homes and neighborhoods. They narrate how they came to work together in Baltimore despite very different backgrounds, and they unpack the differences between the work of mercy and justice in local communities. George shares his experience as a pastor and community organizer working for the flourishing of under-resourced neighborhoods in Baltimore. We hope you are inspired by his insights, his humility, and his joy!
