Following the tragic February 6th attack on the US Capitol, many of us have been having challenging, fraught, often-painful conversations about Christianity in America.  In our families, in our churches, in our neighborhoods, and across the country, Christians are wrestling with what that day meant, what (if anything) it revealed about how our faith interacts with our American citizenship and patriotism.

We thought we would contribute to the conversation by sharing a Staff Devotional from our most recent Staff Retreat (over Zoom, of course).  Bill Haley guides us into the discussion by drawing out a few insights from Jesus’ encounter with Pontius Pilate in John 18.  Over the course of our conversation, we touch on Truth, Prophecy, and the counter-cultural way Jesus chooses to use and display his power.
