A joint pilgrimage with Coracle, ARDF and the Diocese of Singapore. Join us for a Vision Trip to visit the Anglican Church in Nepal. Serve alongside Nepalese Christians in Kathmandu and Pokhara, with the option of a four day trek on the Annapurna Circuit for a spiritual retreat among some of God’s most dramatic earthly creations – the Himalayas.

Why does Coracle do Pilgrimages?
Itinerary (subject to change)
Thursday Oct 11 – depart US for Kathmandu. You are responsible for booking your own airfare, arriving in Kathmandu by late afternoon on Friday October 12. Don’t worry! We can offer flight suggestions to help you meet up with fellow team members.
Fri 12- Arrive Kathmandu and enjoy dinner out with the group. During our time in this city, we will discover the cultural contexts at work and engage with the local Church. Overnight: Hotel Manang or similar.
Sa 13 – Kathmandu
- Visit the Nazarene church with Father Rinzi Lama, the “father of Anglican Church in Nepal”.

- Visit the Berea church (Pastor Nopu)
- Overnight: Hotel Manang or similar.
Su 14 – Kathmandu
- Take a city tour
- Visit the sites of Swayambunath and Durbar Square
- Learn about Buddhist and Hindu influences in Nepal
- Overnight: Hotel Manang or similar.
Mo 15 – Kathmandu
- Visit Living Hope, the church of Father Prem Tamang, an Anglican Priest in Kathmandu
- Visit Pastor Daniel at Revival Church and see the community and school that serves the poor in the slum of Danaseri
- After lunch at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Pokhara
- Overnight: Pokhara lodging TBD
Pokhara – Ministry to the marginalized in the mountains
Pokhara Local Engagement Option
Tu 16- Fri 19 Participate in several hands-on ministry activities. These activities can take different forms and our group will be responsive to the needs of the community in the moment, based on input from our local partners. Examples of opportunities may include, but are not limited to: 1) working alongside other Christians in the refugee camps, 2) Educating on the importance of clean water and distribution of water sanitizing units, 3) working with younger children, tutoring in English and Math, 4) visiting the slums and engaging the women there in prayer and fellowship, 5) visit with various church partners to better understand what it means to follow Christ in this part of the world in a context very different from our own.
Annapurna Trekking Option
Tues 16 – Fri 19 – Spend four days hiking part of the Annapurna Circuit, The group will trek approximately 5-6 hours each day,along routes with spectacular panoramic views of the Annapurna Massif. Each night the group will stay in lodges along the route. Trekkers will rejoin rest of the group for dinner in Pokhara on Friday Oct 19. Elevation on the treks will reach 10,500ft and will be strenuous in nature.
Sa 20- Attend Maranatha church. Sunrise visit to Sarangkot viewpoint of the Annapurna and Fishtail mountain ranges. Worship at the Maranatha church in Pokhara. Fly back to Kathmandu in time for dinner. Overnight: Hotel Manang or similar.
Su 21- Enjoy a final day in Kathmandu as a rest day. Fly out in the afternoon for arrival back in the US on Monday October 22.
