I’ve lost count of how many years (OK, not really…19 years) that Carol Jackson has been a dear friend to me, a partner in ministry, and deep sister in the Lord. We teamed up on so many projects at The Falls Church that I (honestly this time) actually have lost count!
So when Coracle was going official in February 2012, it was only natural that I’d want her on our board, and she said “Of course!” and she joined. And for these past 3 1/2 Carol has been as I’ve always known her to be…thoughtful, wise, prayerful, optimistic, humble, strong, clear, fun, committed to Jesus, and committed to the good of all. I’m so grateful to have had her on our board!
But we knew the day was coming when Carol would retire with her husband Charlie to Charleston, SC, and that day has indeed come and so now Carol is enjoying a more genteel life and well deserved. Carol stepped off the board this past summer, but of course remains close to Coracle with her prayers and support. And she always will remain to me a dear friend, a partner in ministry, and deep sister in the Lord. Some things never change.
Thank you Carol for your great service to Coracle, and through that, to many and to our God!
