“1201 in 5” Campaign

Dear friends and fellow-pilgrims, it’s summer so I’m going to keep this short and sweet!  So many good things are going on with Coracle and at Corhaven, and more is coming.   We’re at a place of being more ready and really wanting to invite more people into the experiences of God that we’re constantly encountering.  We want to bless other people as we’re being blessed, and more of them!   There are quite a few specific ways this growth and goodness is happening, which I’ll share at other times, but this letter specifically is to let you know of something new and good, and to solicit your help to expand our reach and community and to spread the blessings.

I’m asking you to help us “Break 1201 in 5 Minutes”.   So far, our e-communications have been about 75% announcements or information and about 25% edification or thought content.  We’re flipping that, so that what you and others will begin receiving in your inbox is much more content for the head and heart and for your growth, with less information about our events.   I’ll still send out periodic letters, but the new e-newsletter will be a majority of spiritual content (yep, “Spiritual Formation for Kingdom Action”), with the rest of the space spread out between great stuff on the web, meaningful quotes, prayer requests and praises, and upcoming event news and Coracle updates.  This e-newsletter is a taste and trial run.

So we’re wanting to invite more people in.  Currently we have about 890 people on our email list.  We’d like to break 1,201 subscribers.  You can help do this in less than 5 minutes in a couple of different ways.   3 minutes of thought, 2 minutes of action….

  1. You can forward this email to five friends or so with a note that says, “Hey, I think you’ll like what Coracle is offering…click here on www.inthecoracle.org and sign up”
  2. You can go to our homepage yourself and sign up a few folks with their email address.
  3. You can hit reply to this email with the names and email addresses of a few friends that you’d like included, and we’ll do that for you. (You may want to cc them so they know it’s coming)
  4. You might even want to say something about this on Facebook or Twitter.  You can link to a blog post here NEED LINK.

And why 1201?  Because of Romans 12.01 “By the mercies of God, present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”  This is profoundly what Coracle is all about, why we do what we do, what we hope for–to help us all be who we actually are, the Body of Christ in the world through our very own selves in the places God puts us.

Thanks y’all for helping us reach this goal.  Further up and further in.
